Jayden's Birthday

October 27th has come around again. Way too quickly for my taste. That just means that my baby is now NINE and time is marching on way too fast.

Jayden had a pretty busy day, starting his day off with opening his presents in the morning, then he headed off o school. Shortly after coming home from school, he attended his last day as a Wolf scout. They made Halloween decorations out of milk jugs. After that, we rushed home to get into our costumes because, once again, our ward Halloween party landed on Jayden's Birthday. Since we had a huge party for him last year, I decided we would just invite a few friends to come to our ward party to celebrate his birthday. This years party was larger and more involved than most years since Halloween is on Sunday. It sure made for a lot of fun at our party and helped us give Jayden a birthday to remember.

Unfortunately, I didn't take too many pictures because I had volunteered the Activity Day girls to decorate and man a room, so I was keeping an eye on our room.

The rooms were very fun for the kids and I wish I had pictures of the rooms themselves. Jim Greenall made a ring toss game that had rubber hands attatched to a board for the kids to try and throw rope rings onto. Sister Carranza made a super cute shooting game where the kids shot cork guns at pie tins decorated with various pictures on the inside of the tin.

The primary did a plastic pumpkin matching game where you choose two pumpkins trying to match the stickers that were on the bottom of the pumpkins. There was a room for rubber band guns where you tried to shoot small plastic characters, a room with a blow up maze and smoke machine, a spook ally set up by the young men, and of course a cookie decortating room for those in need of instant sugar. My room was lolly pops decorated as ghosts; the kids would choose one lolly pop and would get to keep it if there was a red dot on the bottom of the stick. (The girls made decorations that were hung on the walls you can not see in this picture. They did a really good job with the decoration!)
