Drive in Movie

For Activity Days we decided to make cardboard cars and have a drive-in movie. The girls made the cars over a month ago and have been anxiously awaiting the movie portion of the activity. Since last night was Father's and Son's camp out, it seemed like the perfect night for a movie with the girls!

We gathered last night in our backyard for our movie under the stars. We played twister while we waited for my dad to finish setting up our theater.

Girls in attendance:

Amelia Greenall, Alyssa Godown, Guilianna and Catherine Carranza, Alex and MiKayla Carrara, Afton McCormack, Amanda Fernandez, and the lovely Kelsey Newberry.

(Missing from our event were Marie Asplund and Alyssa Peck. We missed you and hope we see you at the next activity!)

Striking a pose as they prepared to park their cars to watch Bedtime Stories. Aren't they gorgeous?

Of course you have to have popcorn when watching a movie! Cat, that is quite the pose!

Afton is pretty happy to be in her car!

The girls each brought a Ziploc bag full of snacks to share. We dumped them all in a large bowl, mixed it up and had delicious snacks for our movie!

We had a large melamine screen for watching our movie. Don't we look comfortable in our fancy cars? All we had to do was raise our hand or make eye contact with our leaders to get drink and snack refills.

Over all, the night was a HUGE success! I can't wait to do it again sometime. (Hint, Hint, Dad!)
